Ahhhh....my first post! Should mark this day on my calendar or something. I have thought about this post for a while and have finally put words to screen.
So let's jump right to it! The title is The Thrifty Reader. This reflects the fact that I read SO much, it was getting pretty expensive. I've always loved my local library, the Main branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, I've rediscovered it. The library has really expanded their web resources. I can reserve books directly from monthly newsletters based on genres I like and also from their search engine feature.
I also am lucky enough to have a generous Husband and Dad, thus my ownership of and iPad and a Sony Reader. Using these modern gadgets I can download books from the library for an e-loan. For books I want to own that have been for sale for a while I LOVE Half-Priced Books. I usually find what I am looking for, in good shape and for a great price.
And there is always something I will want to read that I just can't wait to get at the library. Either I just can't wait or I KNOW I will want to read again (Harry Potter, Twilight). Barnes and Noble is my go to spot for these. For me it's worth being a B&N Member.
So come along with me as we read our way through the bookshelves!
