I am an avid "researcher". By that I mean I will read about a subject like crazy, it's getting me to actually follow through with it that is the challenge. So of course, when I decided I wanted to start a blog, I checked out EVERY book that our local library system had. I read, I took notes and after at least 3 loan "renewals" at the library, I finally booked the name The Thrifty Reader at Blogger.
Of course then it took me at least 2 months to finally break through the fear and type my first post! However, through my research I discovered some resources that were extremely helpful. One so helpful I went to my local Half-Priced Books to purchase it. That book was Blogging for Dummies. It is a great resource and it includes some simple HTML protocols to use when you blog.
Another good resource was The Rough Guide to Blogging and How to Make Money with Your Blog. Both had some great advice and shared that in terms that most people would understand. All of these books I was able to check out at my library.
Well, let's see if my research did me any good! I'll be back with my take on the book Onward By the CEO of Starbucks Coffee, Howard Schultz. Being that I love coffee, and especially Starbucks Coffee, it seemed like a natural pick for me. (mmmmm....coffee sounds good right now!)
